It is an institutional program offered by the University, and is a graduation requirement that allows students to contribute to their overall education and professional profile.
To help students develop personal, social, and natural awareness so they can redefine their way of being and existing at this historic moment in their lives, and contribute responsibly and purposefully to improving their environment through relevant, entrepreneurial, and ethical professional conduct.
To cover Humanistic training, the student must have 9 credits in his or her record, which can be accumulated through the accreditation modalities mentioned below:
The program offers intensive and extensive courses in various delivery modes: in-person, online, and blended learning environments. Once accredited, each course will accrue three credits to the student's record.
This option integrates events endorsed by the Academic Centers in coordination with the Department of Comprehensive Training Support, so that a certain number of credits are awarded based on the number of hours. One credit is awarded for every 15 hours of the event. See:
This option integrates activities that students undertake individually and out of their own interest. These activities can be internal or external to the institution, as long as there is an official certificate to support the event. As with revalidations by Academic Centers, for every 15 hours, one credit will be awarded for Humanities Education. To complete this process, you must complete the Application Form for Revalidation of Credits for Individual Activities.
*CONSIDERATIONS: In both revalidation modalities, the maximum number of credits awarded is 6, so that the student has the opportunity to cover the three missing credits with a Humanities or Sports course.
To identify the number of credits that the student has accumulated through this modality, he/she can consult it in his/her e-siima by following the steps indicated in the document “Procedure to consult the number of credits granted by the revalidation modality".
This option considers subjects that integrate Humanistic Education content in the recently approved Curricula. The number of credits awarded for this option depends on the number of subjects.
