In the Department of Educational Guidance (DOE) within the General Directorate of Educational Services, we support you by providing guidance throughout your academic career at this institution through actions aimed at your personal, academic, and professional development. This is done to promote the acquisition of strategies that enhance your learning process, as well as effective decision-making.
Likewise, the DOE offers Vocational Guidance services to high school students interested in developing a career plan that will help them make an informed career choice.
Educational guidance is a professional support service offered by our team of counselors, who work together to plan strategies for addressing the following issues:
Areas of attention
*Staff – Its main objective is to provide you with basic advice and counseling on personal, social, and family situations that affect your academic performance.
*Programs – focuses on promoting the development of study strategies and techniques that contribute to improving your academic performance, in addition to promoting actions that favor your permanence at the Institution.
*Vocationl – offers advice on identifying your vocational profile (interests, aptitudes, motivations, etc.) that will contribute to your self-knowledge by examining your strengths and weaknesses, as well as developing a professional life plan.

Considering that the DOE provides you with individual or group counseling to help you achieve your goals, one of the activities/strategies it implements are sessions on various topics available to you.
These sessions are classified into three large groups based on their main guidance purpose:
Its objective is to contribute to the development of thinking skills and strategies that facilitate your learning process, resulting in favorable academic performance, such as through strengthening study habits, attention, memory, etc.
Sessions aimed at helping students strengthen their interpersonal skills, assisting in their integration into university life and promoting their human development.
Its main purpose is to facilitate the identification of the student's professional profile, as well as to provide recommendations for entering the workforce.
Considering the needs and/or interests you wish to address through these sessions, once they have been identified, it is important to consider the following when requesting them, whether individually or as a group: 
*Considerations: Please note that these sessions can be taught as workshops and/or seminars by thematic block, which allows you as a student to revalidate a humanistic training credit by considering 15 hours of work, distributed in five different sessions of two hours of class (10 hours) and 5 hours of independent work. If you are interested in opting for this option, the procedures[1] The application must be made by the longitudinal tutor. [1] The corresponding procedures for granting credits (based on the established revalidation criteria) will be carried out by the Educational Guidance Department.
The DOE also has the Institutional Tutoring Program (PIT), whose main objective is to support you and monitor your academic progress through academic support and institutional educational services. To achieve this, the PIT focuses on two aspects:
1) Your incorporation into university life. This support will be provided to you from the moment you enter the University, in order to facilitate your integration into university life and establish strategies that will improve your academic performance.
2) Follow-up on your degree process. This support will be provided to you with the intention of providing the necessary follow-up to your degree process so that it is completed in a timely manner, providing assistance in any academic situations that may arise and promoting the establishment of links with the workforce.
Tutoring at the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes is offered individually, in groups, in-person, online, or with peers, depending on the characteristics of the students served at each Academic Center and corresponding educational program.

To achieve its objectives, the DOE also provides you with care through other services and/or activities such as:
Event that takes place every year, with the purpose of offering information and professional experiences of the different educational programs that are offered en our highest house of studies to the students of the institutions upper middle level close to graduating and interested in entering Higher Education.
Some of the activities you can participate in at this exhibition are: conferences, workshops, talks with experts, panels and go to the race information stands, so such as guided tours of the different spaces of the UAA.
