UAA TV

UAA TV began broadcasting on September 13, 2010, with the primary purpose of serving as a link between the University and society, sharing knowledge and contributing to the comprehensive improvement of the community. The station broadcasts its content on channel 26.2 and online at tv.uaa.mx, with access to mobile devices.

As a University Television Network, we have been pioneers in the production of documentaries such as "Aguascalientes, Land of Good People?" and the documentary series "Tres 60," currently airing and addressing global issues from a local perspective.

With our own productions to promote university activities and topics that influence our daily lives, we offer a wide variety of programs, from research to musicals and the promotion of concerts presented at various university venues through the "Light for Humanity" program.

Two in-house news programs are broadcast on University Television: "UAA Noticias," with two broadcasts Monday through Friday, mornings from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. and afternoons from 2:30 to 3:00 p.m. We also rebroadcast the Ibero-American Scientific and Cultural Newscast produced by ATEI.

In the debate on current and controversial topics, we offer the production "Opinions"; to promote the importance of environmental stewardship, we have the program "Nature to the Rescue." In this section, it's worth mentioning that UAA TV broadcasts productions by the Panamanian production company "Albatroz," with series that share this same approach to preserving our environment.

In addition, we promote the medical services offered by our University, as well as disease prevention and treatment through the "Taking Care of My Health" program, which involves specialists and researchers from this and other institutions.

It is worth highlighting the agreements that have been formalized for the exchange of productions at the national and international levels with institutions such as TVUNAM and the Mexican Association of University Producers and Television Stations (AMPTU), the Ibero-American Educational Television Stations Association (ATEI), the Organization for the Promotion of Audiovisual Media (OPMA), and broadcast rights for programs from ITV and the BBC in London, as well as content from members of the RED MÉXICO network.

We also offer one of the most innovative technological services, Video on Demand, through which internet users can access our local productions whenever they need them and from wherever they are.

UNIVERSITY RADIO

Radio Universidad was founded on January 13, 1978, with the fundamental premise of serving as a link between the institution and society at large, especially with the community of our highest educational institution, transmitting culture in its diverse manifestations, knowledge, values, and university work with full social responsibility.

On June 19, 2006, the station ventured into FM, broadcasting at 94.5 megahertz, and available worldwide via the Internet through the website radio.uaa.mx, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Radio Universidad offers a varied musical programming, ranging from classical and contemporary pieces to genres such as jazz, rock, new age, reggae, electronic music, and traditional music from around the world.

There are three news programs produced by Radio Universidad called "UAA Noticias" (Morning, Afternoon, and Evening).

Radio Educación's newscasts are also broadcast, with the programs "Pulso de la Tarde" and "Pulso de la Mañana," which complement our news channel. It's worth mentioning that Radio UAA also collaborates with the national news program of the Consortium of Mexican Universities (CUMEX).

Highlighting the analysis and debate of topics of interest are the programs "Estación Política" (Political Station); "La Steca Memoria" (The Stubborn Memory); and "Panorama Universitario RRUM" (The Stubborn Memory). XHUAA also coordinates the program "Panorama Universitario RRUM," a production of the National System of Producers and Radio Stations of Higher Education Institutions. These programs address topics of interest to young people and issues facing women.

Within the scope of our work in the Academic Centers and General Directorates, we have productions such as "Hoy Filosofía," "Vozeto," "El Gis," "University and Health," "Altavoz," "Ethical Dilemmas," "Luxiérnaga," and "Estación Política."

University Outreach is disseminated through the radio magazine "Ser Lumen," where our contributors analyze and reflect on topics of social interest. We also offer programs that showcase various artistic expressions: poetry, film, theater, selected readings, and sports.

Finally, the participation of external producers from other higher education institutions, such as the Aguascalientes Institute of Technology and the National Pedagogical University, as well as government agencies, including the Aguascalientes Cultural Institute and the Municipal Government, completes the link between the University and society.
